Competition proposal
Norwegian pavillion at the Frankfurt book fair
Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Year: 2018
Textilis is about framing the experience of reading. Our proposal seeks an atmosphere that stimulates wonder and curiosity. The project is an interpretation of Olav H. Hauges poetry, materialized in translucent textile. The translucent walls are backlit to mimic the characteristic Nordic light and our shadowless world. Textilis is a sanctuary from the chaotic landscape of the Book Fair, from the troubled sea to a quite cove we didn’t know of.
